Welcome our New Team Members!

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley welcomes Gisela Angulo-Avellaneda as a Marketing and Communications Associate and Annisa D. Basaldua as Fund Development Assistant to the HFSV Familia.

As Marketing and Communications Associate, Gisela Angulo-Avellaneda is responsible for creating content, managing ongoing communications, and supporting HFSV’s Strategic Fund Development needs aligning with our mission. Gisela holds an LL.B from Universidad Industrial de Santander and a recent Certificate in Digital Marketing from UC Berkeley Extension. She has an extensive background in communications and leadership experience. 

You can find Gisela in her spare time at a bookstore, hiking, traveling, spending time with her partner and their two one-year-old cats, starting a DIY project, writing, or cooking. Gisela is a native of Bucaramanga-Colombia but has lived in California for over three and a half years. To learn more about Gisela, click here

Annisa D. Basaldua, as Fund and Development Assistant, provides general administrative and programs support for the HFSV Development department. Anissa holds a BA in Sociology and Ethnic Studies from San Jose State University and is pursuing her master’s in Education at Santa Clara University. Anissa has used her education and work experience as an advocate, mentor, and resource for those who need it in the Latino community.

Anissa is a native of San Jose, California but shared time growing up with her family in the town of strawberries, Watsonville, California. You can find Anissa in her spare time at the beach, going on long hikes, and trying new food places all over the Bay Area with her friends and family! We look forward to the many contributions Gisela and Anissa will bring to our organization as we aim to improve the quality of life for the Latinx community in Silicon Valley.
