Pre Work Instructions: Please use the assesment survey and read the instructions carefully. Your assignment is to conduct and send out the survey questions to 10+ people in your network (the wider the better) prior to the session. You will then analyze the data you received and organize it for yourself to bring to the session. Your completion of this survey will enhance your workshop experience.
- It’s very important to bring your survey response to the session.
- Please bring your device to access the workbook that will be reviewed during the session. There will be no printed copies available, so please print a copy for yourself at home or bring a device to access the digital version. Remember to bring your book as well!
Session 4 – Career Strategy in the Age of AI
Prompt PDF (Pre-Work)
Pre Work Instructions:
Open the attached prompt pack PDF and follow the instructions. It will
walk you through a series of prompts you can use with any AI tool —
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or whatever you prefer. The whole
thing takes about 20-30 minutes.
WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH:
– A draft Statement of Strategic Intent (a one-sentence career strategy)
– 3 distinct career strategy options
– A one-page summary to bring to the session
WHAT TO BRING ON APRIL 8:
1. Your one-page summary (printed, saved to your phone, or screenshot it)
2. Access to your AI conversation — keep it open, we’ll build on it
during the session
3. Your materials from Weeks 1-3 (career goals, networking notes,
brand statement)
POST SESSION WORK:
PROMPT PACK (POST SESSION)
We covered a lot of ground but your work is not done: we’ve put
together a prompt pack that picks up exactly where we left off. It
will walk you through the remaining strategy work and then give you
prompts you can use on an ongoing basis as your career evolves.
WHAT’S IN THE PACK:
Part 1 — Complete Your Strategy (~30-40 min)
Picks up from tonight. You’ll refine your SOSI based on the peer
feedback you got, sharpen and stress-test your career options, design
a 2-week activation experiment, and produce an updated one-page
strategy summary. Try to complete this within the next week while
tonight’s conversations are still fresh.
Part 2 — Keep Your Strategy Alive (ongoing)
Five prompts for ongoing use: strategy check-ins, evaluating new
opportunities, preparing for office hours with me, and connecting your
strategy to the remaining Career Accelerator sessions.
HOW TO USE IT:
1. Open the attached PDF
2. Continue your existing AI conversation from the pre-work (or start
a new one using Prompt 0 in the pack)
3. Work through Part 1 in order, filling in the bracketed sections
4. Use Part 2 prompts whenever they’re relevant going forward
One thing I want to emphasize: the AI is a great thinking partner, but
don’t just accept what it gives you. Push back when something feels
off. Challenge it. And pair the AI work with real conversations — a
mentor, a peer from tonight, someone in your network. The strongest
strategies come from combining structured AI thinking with honest
human feedback.
