Celebrating 30 years of Service

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley (HFSV) celebrates 30 years of service to the Latino community. HFSV grew out of a special event, the Hispanic Charity Ball, by a steering committee under United Way of Santa Clara Valley and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 1989 to raise awareness about issues affecting the Latino community, promote volunteerism, celebrate philanthropic leaders, and provide the funding vehicle to support nonprofit organizations serving the Hispanic community with cash grants.

In 1998, HFSV officially incorporated as a 501(c)3 and established a long-term vision for the Latino community in Silicon Valley. In the last 10 years, the HFSV has expanded its reach and refined its mission to improve the quality of life for Latinos through education with three initiatives in mind. HFSV is dedicated to inspiring community philanthropy and engaging people to invest in educational excellenceleadership development, and convening and engaging the Latino community to improve the quality of life for Latinos in Silicon Valley.

We start 2019 with a renewed sense of urgency and a vision to diversify the high-tech workforce! We welcome you to join us in celebrating 30 years of service to the Latino community. Whether it be by attending the 30th Annual Hispanic Foundation Ball, financially supporting our Latinos in Technology Scholarship program, participating in our Latino Board Leadership Academy, or supporting our programs offered at the Hispanic Foundation College Success Center, you help Silicon Valley Latinos rise and thrive.
