This 11 session academy helps you develop skills as a leader, integrates cultural competence, and introduces you to a strong network of peers across Silicon Valley.

Deadline to submit an application is Monday, January 28, 2019.
***Application will close at 3 pm***

Benefits of LBLA

Nonprofit boards should reflect the community they serve. Our academy has graduated over 360 Latino leaders and 75% of those have gone on to serve on nonprofit organizations such as Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, Hidden Villa, etc.  We continue to work alongside nonprofits in our region in hopes of expanding our academy reach to have a seamless connection between LBLA, future nonprofit board members and organizations.

By joining our academy you will gain insight on topics such as:

  • Board Roles and Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
  • Fundraising Development
  • Boards in Action
  • Organizational Sustainability
  • Personal Branding and Career Development

In addition, LBLA graduates benefit from the following:

  • Peer networking
  • Confidence and clarity of how a nonprofit works
  • Join an exclusive network of over 360 LBLA Alumni
  • Introduction to a variety of nonprofits in Silicon Valley
  • LBLA Alumni only mixers and events

Alumni Network

LBLA is an opportunity for you to join our extensive network of Latino leaders in Santa Clara and San Mateo County. Events and activities help alumni stay connected with peers, professionals, and nonprofits. Additionally, LBLA alumni have the opportunity to connect with our Latinos in Technology Scholars and serve as a reference to Latino juniors and seniors pursuing a STEM degree in college.  Together, we rise and thrive as a community for all Latinos in Silicon Valley.
