The gap in representation is real for the Latinx community

In this video, we welcome Sergio Ruiz Tello, a 2021 Class XVIII Senior Fellow. Sergio grew up in Mexico City and moved to San Francisco in 2010. He attended UC Berkeley where he majored in Business Administration with a minor in Public Policy. Today, he is a Senior Program Manager at Medallia – a customer experience management software platform.

In this chat, Sergio talks about the benefits of attending LBLA and how rewarding it was to have shared experiences among fellow Latinx professionals. While he acknowledges the reality of the lack of representation for our Latinx community in nonprofits across our region, Sergio has a renewed sense of energy after attending LBLA.
