The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is conducting a raffle to raise funds for ongoing charitable purposes. By purchasing a raffle ticket, the purchaser agrees to be bound by the rules.
The prize drawing to benefit the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley’s education programs will be held at the Hispanic Foundation Ball on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at approximately 9 pm PST. Tickets will be sold only to guests attending the Hispanic Foundation Ball starting Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 5:30 pm. Ticket sales end on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at approximately 7:30 pm PST. The prize winner must be present to win.
The raffle is open to all US residents, including employees, volunteers, and representatives of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley who are registered guests of the Hispanic Foundation Ball on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Any eligible individual can purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability.
An unlimited number of tickets will be sold. The chances of winning are based on the actual number of tickets sold. The IRS has assumed that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts and, consequently, do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. All sales are final. You must be at least 18.
The ticket price is $50 per ticket or $200 for six tickets. Only one payment method and one name are permitted per ticket. Only one eligible person may be entered in the raffle per ticket sold. Division of the prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner.
Tickets may be purchased in person only on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 5:30 pm PST, during the Hispanic Foundation Ball at the Signia by Hilton San Jose, CA, using a credit or debit card. Only registered guests of the Hispanic Foundation are eligible to buy tickets.
The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley reserves the right to reject any entry that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail, electronic mail, fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts before the drawing deadline.
To collect their prize, the winner must show the ticket with the winning number so that the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley can confirm that the person claiming the prize is the person with the correct raffle ticket. Prizes may not be exchanged for cash value or substituted.
