Elevating Math Proficiency Across Silicon Valley Latinos

This Summer, our Foundation is proud to collaborate with the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) to support over 1,000+ students across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties with the Elevate [Math] Summer program.

Elevate [Math] aims to increase the number of students meeting and successfully passing Common Core math standards, preparing them for future college and career success.

This year we are also happy to share that we are supporting classes all the way in the South Bay, including the Gilroy Unified School District.

Our HFSV team had the opportunity to site-visit Elevate [Math] students at August Boeger Middle School, Adelante II Dual Language Academy, and South San Francisco. Onsite visits allow our team to see the program in action and grant us the opportunity to interact with the students and teachers.

Witnessing students’ engagement, progress, and success in math proficiency firsthand reinforces the importance of programs like Elevate [Math]. Students created meaningful hand-written cards and goody bags for our team to share their gratitude. One incoming 5th-grade student wrote, “Thank you for donating to this summer school because I really understand decimals, and now I’m really smart.”

The Elevate [Math] program’s profound impact, exemplified by heartfelt testimonials, reinforces our commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering academic excellence for brighter college and career prospects.
