Hector F. Santana is a Partner at KPMG in the Silicon Valley office, where he holds a National Office leadership role overseeing external PCAOB inspections. In this capacity, he plays a key role in safeguarding audit quality and upholding the highest professional standards, objectivity, independence, ethics, and integrity across KPMG’s quality management system. Before rejoining KPMG as a direct-entry partner, Hector spent a decade at the PCAOB leading large-firm issuer audit inspections.

Hector is also a leading voice in KPMG’s diversity efforts, serving on the Somos KPMG Advisory Board, as Partner Leader for the Silicon Valley Somos KPMG Chapter, and as the Silicon Valley Office’s overall Employee Resource Group Partner Leader.

A Certified Public Accountant licensed in California and New York, Hector holds a B.A. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Santa Clara University. He lives in Los Gatos with his wife and daughter.
