We are thrilled to kick off our Transition to College Series for parents, guardians, and caregivers on August 24th, 2022! Along with our partners PIQE and LEAF, we hosted 127 families in our first week of the Bridge to College Program.
This 4-week virtual course offers a program focused on engaging, mentoring, and empowering Hispanic families to ensure high school students successfully transition to college, all content in Spanish. Families identified the changes students and families go through during this life stage and how to support students during this transition effectively.
At the end of the class, participants will have the tools to help cultivate their children’s interests towards a STEM career.
96% of families reported encouraging their children to pursue a College education after participating in the PIQE program.
