Mirella Maldonado manages HFSV K-12 STEM programs and parent education academies in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. She firmly believes that providing access to STEM education and careers will help alleviate disparities and advance social equality. In 2022, she also developed and launched a new initiative, our Financial Literacy Series, to make financial education and resources more accessible to our Latino community.

Mirella is a driven community advocate who is passionate about educational equity, social justice, D&I and mentoring. She is a first generation Latina who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Jose State University. Before joining the HFSV team, she worked at PwC as an Experienced State and Local Tax Associate. Her passion for enhancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging strategies and opportunities for underserved students drove her to take on leadership roles as Recruiting Campus Diversity Champion and Communications lead for PWC’s Bay Area North-West ERG group, the Latino Inclusion Network.

Outside of work, Mirella is the Education Board Officer for Prospanica Silicon Valley, a professional non-profit organization with a mission to empower and uplift Latino professionals. Mirella is a dedicated change agent who strives to inspire those around her to innovate and grow.
