Programs and Communications Intern

Erika Morales Guzman is the Programs and Communications Intern who supports the strategic goals of marketing and communications for external audiences, mainly through digital channels, and provides administrative and programmatic support to the Foundation.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Erika is a first-generation college student, the oldest of four daughters, and a determined and hardworking woman. She is currently a rising junior majoring in Justice Studies and minoring in Business at San Jose State University.

Last summer, Erika interned at Bay Area Legal Aid, a non-profit legal aid organization. During her time there, she served her community and maintained one-on-one contact with her clients. Additionally, she is a board member of the SJSU Girl Gains club and will now be the Director of Marketing for the club.

Outside of those roles, Erika helps manage her father’s business, keeping track of his bookkeeping and assisting in creating posters and flyers for his events. She has also volunteered at Communiversity, Peninsula Bridge, and the Ecumenical Hunger Program.
