Evelyn
Rojas

Family Engagement Senior Coordinator

As Family Engagement Senior Coordinator, she supports our family engagement efforts for the Eastside Education Initiative and our K-12 STEM programs in Santa Clara County.

Evelyn is a proud local of San Jose, born and raised. She is passionate about serving the underrepresented and underserved communities with tools and resources to become self-sufficient, especially regarding educational, social, legal, and financial barriers. Evelyn is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and a first-generation Latina graduate from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Global Studies and an emphasis on Latin American culture.

She’s worked in education since 2018 with experience as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum and a lead tutor/college advisor for half the schools in the Santa Barbara Unified School District.

She is grateful for the social and economic resources her mom received from social services, section 8, food banks, and local schools. She received the help and support Evelyn needed to succeed. Evelyn’s dream is to continue the cycle of investing in the marginalized Hispanic population so that the community can grow and glow.
