Quetzal Mama is a national resource for students and families from historically underrepresented groups seeking exceptional college advice and support. The mission of Quetzal Mama is to provide expert college admission coaching, programs, and tools to deserving students and their families for free. The founder and CEO of Quetzal Mama is Dr. Roxanne Ocampo, a proud Latina mom and author of five award-winning non-fiction books focused on college admissions. Currently, Quetzal Mama provides college readiness workshops focusing on goal setting and productivity during social distancing. In 2021, Quetzal Mama was provided workshops and bootcamps for the HFSV student community that covered the topics such as: scholarships, UC personal insight questions, UC activities, and UC transfer prompts which successfully supported 167 students in our HFSV network.
