Familias Unidas, United Through Education builds better communities through education of the whole family. The Familias Unidas program offers 8 weekly family-based classes with a focus on reading, math, science, technology, health, and arts to create a healthy community with a passion for lifelong learning and development throughout San Mateo County. In collaboration with the non-profit Science is Elementary (SiE), parents and children of Familias Unidas receive science kits and access to high-quality STEM activities that are educational and fun for the whole family! In the 2020 – 2021 school year, we had 141 parents from Henry Ford and Hoover Elementary School in Redwood City graduate from our Familias Unidas program.
