Latinos in Technology

Ron Gonzales meets the new scholarship cohort of 2020

Earlier this month, the Hispanic Foundation welcomed 95 Latinos in Technology Scholarship recipients to meet with Ron Gonzales, our President & CEO. In December, we will meet our second cohort of 2020 made up of 84 Latinx students. With more than 80% being first-generation college students, we are thrilled to see our newest cohorts elevate their families, relatives, and loved ones by pursuing a career in STEM. Latinx Scholar Chat – Oscar Balvaneda

Be sure to watch our latest Latinx Scholar Chat with Oscar Balvaneda, a first-generation college graduate who recently landed a job at KLA as a product engineer. Hispanic Foundation College Success Center

Parent Education Academy Graduation: Congratulations to the 51 Hillsdale High School and the 47 Silver Creek High School parent graduates from our virtual PIQE program! We are proud to support another amazing cohort of parent leaders in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.We currently have Parent Education programs set to end in December over at Ravenswood Middle School, KIPP Parent Network, and Breakthrough Silicon Valley. Our Redwood City students received science experiments in their activity kits provided by our partners from United through Education – Familias Unidas and Science is Elementary.
