Hispanic Foundation Ball 2024 Raffle

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is conducting a raffle to raise funds for ongoing charitable purposes. The purchaser agrees to be bound by the rules by purchasing a raffle ticket.

The prize drawing to benefit the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley’s education programs will be held at the Hispanic Foundation Ball on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at approximately 9 pm PST. Tickets will be sold only to guests attending the Hispanic Foundation Ball starting Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 5:30 pm. Ticket sales end on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 7:30 pm PST. The prize winner must be present to win.

The raffle is open to all US residents, including employees, volunteers, and representatives of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley who are registered guests of the Hispanic Foundation Ball on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Any eligible individual can purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability.

An unlimited number of tickets will be sold. The chances of winning are based on the actual number of tickets sold. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries, or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts and, consequently, do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. All sales are final. Must be at least 18.

The ticket price is one ticket for $20 or six tickets for $100. Only one method of payment and one name are permitted per ticket. Only one eligible person may be entered in the raffle per ticket sold. Division of prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner.

Tickets may be purchased using a credit or debit card only, in person, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, starting at 5:30 pm PST during the Hispanic Foundation Ball at the Signia by Hilton San Jose, CA. Only registered guests of the Hispanic Foundation are eligible to buy tickets.

The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley reserves the right to reject any entry that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail, electronic mail, fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadline.

To collect their prize, the winner must show proof of identity such that the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley can confirm that the person claiming the prize is the same person named on the winning raffle ticket. Prizes may not be exchanged for cash value or substituted.
