HFSV engages leadership and bridges resources to invest in a thriving Hispanic community. Resources are directed toward educational achievement, economic advancement and leadership development to create opportunities for Hispanic children and families.

Giving Locally

Business Week’s annual ranking of the 50 Most Generous Philanthropists, published this week, reports that many of the country's top philanthropists support institutions close to home and choose to stay involved with those institutions to make sure their gifts are used effectively.

While many of the nation’s top philanthropists gave to international causes related to global health, development, and democracy, most of the nine-figure gifts in 2007 were made to institutions located close to donors' homes and/or tied to their personal experiences.

This is the same giving philosophy of the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley. The individual donors that make charitable gifts through us care about the Silicon Valley’s Latino community. With their partnership, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley has become an important vehicle for those who share a spirit of giving to impact the lives of Hispanic children and families. They believe, as we do, that the success of our community is critical to the success of the region.

We want to acknowledge those local donors who have directed their charitable gifts in a strategic way and invite you to become part of our philanthropic family.
