As of July 2018, Federico became General Manager for Mexico and Brazil, which are the largest and fastest-growing markets for PayPal in Latin America. In this role, Federico is responsible for the development of the PayPal business in these markets leading a team that is working to grow the business while continuing to prioritize innovation so PayPal to offer solutions that can support all of our customers, merchants, and consumers, as well as our business partners.
Previously, he served as General Manager for Hispanic Latin America. In this role, he was responsible for the growth, profitability, and positioning of the company as a leader in payment services in Mexico and the rest of the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America where we operate a cross-border business. During this time, Federico worked on different projects that facilitated the rapid expansion of PayPal in these markets. He was also a key part of great achievements, such as the announcement of various partnerships with financial institutions and product launches.
Federico has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He is also a mentor of startups in organizations like Victoria 147, 500 Startups, and Wayra.
