Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley Adds Three New Board Members

New Board Members Include:


SAN JOSE, Calif. —February 3, 2010—The Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley (HFSV) today announced that it has added three new members to its board, further solidifying its broad reach into the greater Silicon Valley community and strengthening the broad spectrum of expertise available to the HFSV.

About the New Board Members

Jorge Luis Titinger, Verigy, Inc.
Amongst the new board members is Jorge Luis Titinger, chief operating officer of Cupertino, CA based semiconductor test company, Verigy, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRGY). He has a long history of working with technology companies in the Silicon Valley including Applied Materials, KLA Tencor and Hewlett-Packard. Titinger is a graduate of Stanford University, where he completed degrees in electrical engineering and business.

Patricia Uro-May, Law Office of Howard May and Patricia Uro-May
Also appointed as a new board member is Attorney and Counselor at Law, Patricia Uro-May. Uro-May has been very involved in the local community as a member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, La Raza Lawyers Association, Santa Clara County Bar Association and as a volunteer with SALA (Senior Adult Legal Assistance). A graduate of USC, Uro-May has a long history of serving the local Latino community.

Omar Chyou, Wells Fargo Private Bank
Rounding out the trio of new board members is Omar Chyou, a Wealth Advisor with Wells Fargo Private Bank in Palo Alto. Chyou has worked for over 14 years in the financial services industry with such firms as Citi Private Bank, Goldman Sachs and UBS Paine Webber. Chyou is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Economics, Chyou was also a board member for Opera San Jose for the past three years

“All three board members are shining lights in the Silicon Valley as they have all proven their dedication to the local community and to volunteerism,” said Ron Gonzales, President and CEO of the HFSV. “We are excited about the energy, experience, and networks they bring to the board and look forward to the contributions they will make to the HFSV as we work to improve the lives of Silicon Valley Hispanics.”
