HFSV Healthy Kids Fund - Application Period is now Closed

Since 2006, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley has partnered with The Health Trust to award grants to nonprofit organizations working to prevent childhood obesity in the Latino community. This year, we are pleased to announce the opening of our 2008 Healthy Kids Fund grant round, specifically focused on Youth Fitness.

In its current funding cycle, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley will award two to five grants ranging from $15,000-$50,000 to organizations with community-based programs that get kids (ages 5-15) to be physically active, with an emphasis on activities that take place outdoors and in nature.

2008 Healthy Kids Fund Grant Cycle Timeline

• July 11, 2008: deadline to submit Letters of Inquiry
• July 18, 2008: selected organizations will be invited to submit proposals
• August 8, 2008: deadline to submit proposals
• August 29, 2008: selected grantees will be notified of their award
