Cuando calienta el sol
Much like the famous
song, Cuando calienta el sol, the 18th annual Hispanic Charity Ball
(HCB) promises to leave you with the pleasant memory of a warm late-
summer evening along the Mexican Riviera.
This
year's gala has a special Latin flair with many memorable touches: a
fabulous silent auction featuring a trip to the Fairmont Southampton
Resort in Bermuda, the beautiful and elegant emcee Catalina Garcia of
Univisión, a delicious specially- prepared meal by Fairmont master chefs,
tremendous salsa music by Orquesta Liberazión, and a lovely Cafe Sol y
Luna for your after dinner enjoyment.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, October 13th. For tickets,
please go to www.hfsv.org or call 408-278-2210.
And if you
plan to enjoy a complete evening by staying at the Fairmont Hotel, please
make your reservations no later than this Friday, October 5th, by calling
1-800- 346-5550. Be sure to ask for the Hispanic Charity Ball room block.

HCB Volunteer Corps |

Finally, we would like to thank the 40-plus volunteers who come out to
help us the day-of the event. You will see them at the Hispanic Charity
Ball gala, but they have also attended preparatory and work meetings
leading up to the event. Their assistance is invaluable, helping with the
finishing touches and setting a welcoming tone to the entire event.
At left, "staff" trainer, Juan Avila, readies his troops for the big
event.
